It's been 2 weeks since I brought home Goldilocks. She has been doing very well and is adjusting nicely, even though she is still very skittish and afraid of hands. The fact that I haven't been doing well lately has also prevented me from dedicating my time into training her properly. For now I'm okay with her tolerating me and being comfortable when I spend some time near her cage. I will be using Luigi later on to help me tame her.
As I'm typing this she is happily beak grinding.
Here are some pics I took over the weekend
This one is my favourite of the bunch, she was getting ready for a nap and was getting extra fluffy in order to have her feet buried in the feathers.
I also took a couple of pics of my happy boy, Luigi who turns 10 months old today!!
The flock is completely oblivious to Goldilocks presence. But she knows very well there are birds in the house, as she occasionally chirps in excitedness.
She has a very delicate song in her chirps and isn't anywhere near as loud nor chatty as Dinda and Peppy. Her personality resembles more of my Mona, the typical sweet and more reserved female. We will see whether that will change once quarantine time is over and she is integrated in the flock.
I recorded a short video in HD quality, so you can better see the beautiful colours of my new budgie girl. She was about to take her afternoon nap and feeling sleepy.
