I went to the birdmart today with my dad and we could not pass up on these two beautiful birds. They were extremely well priced. They are not tame. Any info on their mutation? The violet cinnamon is female right? I was told she was just about 4 mths old. What kind of babies would they have? Hoping Lindsey chimes in. I wanted to get some of hers but airline shipping rates are so high :/. For now I am "holding on to" these guys for my dad who has outdoor aviaries and untame birds. Not sure if I can do the breeding thing yet so I thought this was a safe way to give it a go.

The first several pics are of the violet cinnamons cere. She is about 4mths. Can you guys confirm it is a she?

I think she can hear them, but she can't see them. These two aren't tame. So I doubt they will ever meet. But if they have babies in the future, maybe I keep a friend for Cozette.

Congrat's....those are certainly beautiful bird's. Look's like a male and female to me. I wouldn't want to guess on mutation, if you bought them to breed, I think you will have some pretty babies....:)

They are lovely! The young hen is a Violet Cinnamon Opaline and the male is a Grey Normal.

As far as chicks go, if the male is not split for anything (very unlikely!) you would get Normals in Grey and Violet Grey. However, he is likely split for some recessive varieties so you could easily get more Cinnamon Opalines, Blues and Violets to say nothing of fun surprises!
