Are your beauties from the same clutch?

Heart throb!! This is a wonderful expression in the face. Good age to still cuddle. The head scritches may not continue and do not be surprised if ther is some hormonal conflict with Cozette in the future. That is all part of being a hen. Balance the hills and valleys and give them a chance to get to know each other. Adding a 3rd bird may be too much for Cozette. She definitely knows what she wants and get out of the way when that mind is in gear!!! Enjoy. The new girl is so feminine and pretty just as a charming girl should be!!!

Enjoy!! Jo A:budge::happy4::happy4:nn

Amber,

Your new baby girl is absolutely adorable!

I hope she and Cozette will become good friends once she's out of quarantine. :) Have you decided on a name for her yet?

She is STUNNING!! And so sweet. I say, keep her! She deserves a wonderful home like yours.
I'm glad you commented on how amazingly tame she seems for being parent raised with no handling in the nest, as my English budgie girl Bacall is that way too. Hard to believe she's never been handled, but she comes to the side of the cage to nibble my face when I talk baby-talk to her through the bars, and when I put my hand in to feed millet, she comes right over and always nibbles affectionately at my fingers before gently nibbling at the millet. The male isn't that way; just her. Hope she passes her wonderful temperament to her babies in the future.

Can I ask, what you mean by hormonal conflict?

Thank you. Yes, Cozette was very much like this little girl in personality when I brought her home and she is so laid back for a hen....based on what I hear. Although she never like scritches. So I think their personalities could work. I have been considering Darby as a name for her.

I am not sure if I want to breed. I do love the idea on one hand and on the other, not so much. Also, not sure if I could tame the male since he is older. Then would two hens and a male be a possibility in the same cage? Just things I am thinking.
