That is typical budgie behaviour. My two indoor birds enjoy squashing themselves between the top of the cage a swinging double ladder perch. Crazy little critters.

That is so funny! My Sammy still isn't adjusted to his new, bigger cage, and he's only staying on one perch. It's like "Come on, Sammy, you've got tons of space to explore!"

I have a perch right up at the top that they all like to squeeze onto ... Sometimes it's a bit of an argument who gets it but when khaleesi goes to it all the others run

She probably feels safe and secure in her tiny little corner.
In time she may decide other areas are good sleeping places as well.

She used to sleep normally on a perch, then she went through a phase of sleeping in different spots in her cage, trying them all out. I guess she finally decided on this!
At exactly 9PM every night, she lets me know she wants to go to bed by crawling into the corner

My other bird kiwi, sometimes I call him (or her, it's kind of hard to tell at this point) count kiwicula because he sleeps upside down

I saw a pic on tumblr of someone who had two finches named khaleeshi and jorah. Every night they would climb into the slinky to sleep but they couldn't fit side by side because it was too small. So they just slept with khaleesi standing on top of jorah hahaha... how very like the asoiaf stories actually

Same here mine like to sit on top of the grape beak conditioner chew toy which places them up on the ceiling of the cage

Hi... aren't they funny?? Mine look for the highest spot in the cage. Apparently that changes at random, as they sometimes quibble over different 'highest spots'
PS.. your cage, from what I can see, looks just like mine... the cage itself, the rope perch and the little toys. Thought I was looking at my own stuff in your photo

She looks so cute! Looking at you like "don't mind me, I'm just perching on my favourite spot. You cannot have it, though. It is my spot"
As some have said, she probably feels safe there, and budgies often choose the "safest" (by their understanding) place to sleep. You could give them a full sized king four posted bed with silk sheets and she would keep her tiny spot
