Aww, they are so sweet! I'm so glad to see pictures of the bebes
They are beautiful!
I just have to ask, I love birds almost as much as I love cats, and someday I hope to have a cat, but still keep birds. How does she react to the birds?
Both my cats pretty much ignore the budgies. I had the cats first, and whenever the birds are out, the cats are safely locked away in the bedroom.
I've had both my cats since they little kittens (Willow was born on my bed, Elora was given me when she was just 6 weeks as her mama had died and she was already weaned). I highly suggest training your cat right from the get go on specific things, such as no counters/desks/table tops. People think you can't train a cat but you can - you train them to use a litter box, don't you?
Don't get me wrong, I know given the chance the cats WILL eat the birds. They've attacked and killed mice and as you can see by the picture above with her upright stance and perked ears, Elora isn't just interested in the outside birds for beauty. It can work but you must ALWAYS be vigilant and always assume the worst of your cat, loving as they may be to you.
Moira they are so lovely Lemony is a very pretty hen. And such a proud stance on the tough guy sort of reminds me of Arnie In Terminator
Lem's motto is very much 'I'm a big girl I can do it MYSELF' on pretty much everything. She's very very smart, always trying to figure out everything, she pulls everything apart piece by piece and looks everything over, it's so cute to watch.
Sweets, on the other hand, is a very very tame darling who loves anyone and everything. He's always standing tall and proud, I think he's really enjoying his new life with me, and now with his best friend Lem
