I did quarantine, but not for a month. They all came from the same breeder and shop, which makes you provide testing results for psitticosis, PBFD, PDD and Polyoma before you can board your birds there even. They've all been to the avian vet in the last seven months for a well bird exam. Hearing them call to each other and a baby being alone instead of part of his flock was too hard to bear. As the docile boys they are, the older budgies are fine with him. No bullying, no biting...they sort of just keep an eye on him and do their own thing. I love how kind my English Budgies are.
They are all very handsome fellows indeed! I bet they're all going to be best bros
I think it's hilarious that even as a baby, Albert looks like a large stuffed animal compared to Oliver and Russell!
To give you an idea, Mallorn is an American budgie and always was the littlest one in the cage when I got her.
More perspective? I've seen one or two canaries bigger than her...(but don't tell her I said that!)
Albert is a gentle giant and every time I see your boys, my day automatically improves!
Thank you for sharing
and Princess Mallorn!
Thank you to Deb for her wonderful Faery magic
It's like Russell and Oliver are more at ease too, not listening to someone calling for them and they can't help. I'm serious, budgies have my heart. They are the sweetest birds. Albert is confident walking up to them in the middle of one of their conversations and just standing there, right between them. They look at him like, "Have you no manners?", but they don't scold him. I love love love my boys.
