Now, I KNOW he can handle the screen door (peel the screen off off the hook-and-loop tape that fastens it in a corner and slip out), but I'd really like to know how he got through the actual people-door outside that.
I suspect Simon-involvement, since he's the only one of my bird who knows how to operate a door handle.
Is this going to be some kind of bird-conspiracy?
That bird has absolutley not sense of self-preservation. He was all "Switch off the lights again, I want to cuddle and I'm not done sleeping yet anyway". He doesn't realise that if a person turns over onto a bird, the bird is going to be very flat...
The other birds aren't that interested in leaving the budgie room (yet), luckily. Considering Wellington can't fly straight and has a tendency to fall over when sitting on a flat surface, it's kind of amazing he even made it up one floor and basically to the other end of the house upstairs... Lucky thing I have steel mesh in all windows because of the parrots, so at least I don't have to worry about my house leaking budgies.
