Default Miscellaneous Pics From This Evening

I commute once a week up near the other bird store is for work. I have to get up earlier than usual to make that drive, so the birds get up earlier. They were all ready for bed early too. Am I weird that after I haven't seen them all day that I think everything they do is cute and I take pics?

I have an organic thyme and sage plant that the Budgies like to nibble on. Mostly the thyme. Here's Russell in it:

Oliver preening baby Albert. He was feeding him earlier too.

Among budgie lovers you are quite normal - not weird at all.
(It's the non-budgie lovers that are weird, in my book, by the way. )

The pictures are great! I really love the last two and simply can not pick my favorite between the two of them.

I saw this the other day.... It says: Dog people and cat people don't agree on much. The one thing on which they can agree?? Nobody's stranger than BIRD PEOPLE

Maybe I should be offended or something... ?? Cuz I'm kind of like all three.

I love that last picture of your boys sharing their greens.

And I feel sorry for people that are unaware of the true joys of bird ownership.
I am a bird lover to the core, they were my first pets/companions and only later did I get my first dog. I am a proud dog lover/owner too, but there is something about birds that have always fascinated me.
And I know deep down that I will always have at the very least one little bird in my life even while in my 90s if I reach that age.
Birds rule and so do bird people!!

They are so cute! They look like little fluff balls. Need More Pictures, please

And no, you are not weird for loving your budgies. As FaeryBee says, it's the "others" who are weird

I would much rather look at pictures of our sweet little budgies any day than the everyday rubbish that people buy and look at .
Budgies are amazing birds for their size they have the BIGGEST personalities

You are not weird among bird people. I miss my birds while I am at work and the first thing I do when I walk in the door at home is check on them. I have had many different animals over the years but there is something extra special to me to have a bird(s) greet me and want to spend time with me.

I don't think you're weird. But then again, my friends and family call me "Crazy bird lady"!

My boss is British, and so is his mum (who grew up with Budgerigars, as did her friends), and he calls me crazy Budgerigar lady. I've known him for eleven years and he means it in a nice way. Other people think it's weird to love birds like this and they are afraid of them and say birds are dirty (to which I respond "Messy, but never dirty"). Other people think interacting with my nice birds is a great experience and they say "I never thought birds could be like this". I love to hold chickens and people are scared to death of a nice laying hen. Everyone is different. That's what makes life interesting. I'm just glad I found this forum and all of you who understand my affinity for Budgies.
