This past week we moved Merlin to a room with more traffic, TV always going, etc. He has really been opening up. Just wanted to share this photo, he was resting on one foot and trilling/squawking to himself. He looks more grown up with his head all fluffed (before the Vet trip, he was not so happy afterward)
Still working on that hand taming, but will be a little setback because he's on a round of antibiotics as he has been sneezing, so he's going to be even more afraid of hands. Vet said no evidence of anything wrong because she hears nothing in lungs, etc (thankfully!), but wants to be safe, as birds can take turns for the worst rather quick. Poops are normal and eating and drinking and singing as normal. (If anything, eating more, seriously pigs out on kale, carrot, Apple and cilantro - his current favs!)
If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear. He will currently only eat veggies, seeds, etc from my hands. Other than that he's a bit skittish with hands.
He weighed in at 45g. So big compared to all of our others we've had in the past.

Reason: Added weight
Merlin is adorable! Does he take baths? My Sammy is a little piggy and doesn't like to bathe very often, and he sneezes sometimes when he preens himself. Could Merlin be doing the same? It took us a while to realize that Sammy just sneezes a lot
He is very cute, and I'm glad to hear that he's settling in just fine!
