Oh Errols molt was quite obvious. He's very grouchy and hole starte molting when I went on holiday. Errol went on holiday to my parents (met their cockatiel who is 24 years old!) he went looking like the first picture and within a week looked like the second picture.
The reason I knew was he flapped and hovered in one spot a lot, plus he was angry, more obsessed with his bath and his colours changed. Oh and lots of pin feathers on his face and cheeks.

This is a better picture of him. He will venture out of his cage now with encouragement, but prefers to walk everywhere than fly!
