Hi, very new to budgie world, I'm still finding my way around the site, would like to post a pic of my two budgies Pie n Mash, but don't know how, would like to know what sex they are, or when the colour will be visible on the bridge of their beaks, they are 3 months old, very skitters, they won't seem to calm, so any info will be appreciated...
Thanks Ev x
If you get a free Photobucket account, you can post full-size pictures on the forums quite easily
Also, to tell gender even at an early age, males have pinkish purple on their cere (the bit above the beak) and females have pale blue and white. When they mature, the female's cere will turn brown when she is in breeding condition and the males will have a royal blue cere.
If you post focused, close up pictures of Pie and Mash taken in natural light, we will gladly help you to determine their gender
They sound like darlings and I can't wait to see them! It's great to have you here on the forums with us and I hope to see you around
and Princess Mallorn!
