Talking Kobe's annoying whisker

Good evening Everbirdy,

Please pardon me for being so behind on posts recently and I know I'm way below my quota. Just been very busy with work and life.

Anyways, last night when I came home from work I noticed Kobe had a little fluff of feather above his cere which I thought was rather cute, but the poor little guy was very annoyed by it and he tried so hard to get it off! His 'whisker' was covering his cere so it also made him sneeze from the itch. You should have seen him rubbing his face against the swing, perch, and cage bars but it just didn't wanna come off. So after getting a few chuckles at the expense of poor Kobe's annoyance, I helped him remove the fluff with a gentle blow from my lips

Poor little man was trying to rub it off in several places around the cage with no success

Poor sweet little Kobe. I'm glad you finally got it off for him.
Where's the picture of him after it was gone though?

You got me there, Faery. I didn't take another one because I started to get annoyed by my stomach growling and rushed to eat dinner!

Hmmm, then you need to add another picture of Kobe (without that wayward feather) to this thread this weekend!

How cute, the poor little guy looks so annoyed! It does look like a birdie mustache, especially in the last picture.

This happens to my little ones too. Miss Whitey gets them stuck in her beak sometimes and I have to come to the rescue!

I stared at him for a full 5 minutes while he rubbed it against a perch then between cage bars

Hear hear, ditto, with Simmi! He was like that only the other week and sat with the rogue feather on his cere as if showing off a new 'feather style' he'd just had done.:-)) Is indeed very cute when they're like that!:-)

Haha, now that is quite a new look for Kobe! this happens to every birdie and some are good at removing those fluffy feathers while others take quite sometime to figure things out.
These pics of your Kobe have reminded me of the time when Luigi had grown his beard. It took him a good 15 minutes or so for him get rid of the fluffy feather.

Awww, poor thing. He looks very annoyed that you were taking photos of him rather than helping out for a few minuets. Then most likely grateful that you eventually helped him out. Silly birdies.
