I've been going through a lot with my budgies, both good and bad, as I've been dealing with the failing health of an older budgie and bonding with a new baby at the same time. However, little Alfred Pennyworth (aka Fred/Freddy) cheers me up as I've been sad over Tweety's decline.
Freddy is my first English budgie and my first hand-fed budgie, and I've been surprised to find out how gentle and calm he is. He's also very playful. So far he hasn't wanted to sit on my leg or shoulder much, but he likes to climb up onto my head and play with my hair.
Freddy loves the playground so I've been moving him and the playground to whatever my room me and/or my husband are in, so he can be near us.
I was told that he was beginning to talk and imitate sounds before he came to our home, but I have never heard him do this, though he chirps and sings sometimes. I'm not sure why he stopped talking, but it would be neat if he would start again.
Natalie Freddy is beautiful I love his cute little face... I am glad that Freddy is making you happy again and he is helping you..... Looks like Freddy will form a special bond with you.... Oh with the talking you have to keep repeating the word over and over again... You can talk to him or play some soft music....
I am sorry you are having a hard time after losing Tweety that is natural cause you loved him..... But we never forget them.. Tweety is forever in your heart... I'm sure Tweety would approve of your new little budgie.... Tweety would want you to be happy
