Default Lokum or Vecihi

Hello, this is my second budgie Lokum, but I'm still not sure about the name because I like Vecihi too!

The name Vecihi comes from Vecihi Hürkuş, an important person in Turkish aviation history and Lokum is Turkish delight in Turkish.

He is about 30-35 days old and he likes to nap on top of his cage. He is active yet he is also napping between his active periods. I think it is due to him still growing up but if its a health issue I'm going to an aviary vet. soon so we will see. Currently I'm seeding him millets(red millets)

Sleepy...

Oh what a beautiful little baby he just melts my heart
Congratulations
I like Lokum for Turkish delight

He is very young so the sleeping episodes could be just that but I always recommend a health check with an avian vet regardless.

Looking forward to updates

Congrats again on your cute budgie boy!
Besides the red millet, your budgie will greatly benefit from a varied seed mix for budgies. Canary seed is easy for young budgies and weaning chicks to eat and so is a spray of millet.
I give my weaning chicks a finch seed mix for them to practice eating as these seeds are virtually the same we can find on a budgie seed mix, only these seeds are smaller in size and the chicks and young budgies find it easier to dehusk these seeds and eat them.
Since your budgie is so young, it would also be good to offer him some egg food, as this is highly nutritious for young budgies recently weaned.

Good luck with your new little friend! And out of the names you have mentioned, I like Lokum the best.

He already has smashed egg in his cage but he didn't give it a chance yet. However I'm sure he will love it just like my older bird, Hoşaf. I will try the canart seed, thank you for the advice

Lokum is an adorable little baby budgie boy!
I particularly love the last picture of him -- what a sweet little face he has.

It has been just a day and he started cleaning himself on my shoulder. He loved our family so far. He is friendlier than I think!

What a cute little boy!

I know you're curious about his mutation, he is a sky blue recessive pied budgie

He is adorable and I like Lokum for his name. Despite the fact I am very partial to Turkish delight I would never think I would want to eat him
