Here are pics of my budgies. They are playing, preening, and napping.
We have Poca (blue female), Tata (green boy), Frosty (white boy), Sunray (yellow boy).
My husband built a "play-tree" for them. He built the tree and attached it to a purchased playground we previously had. He used dowels, drilled holes in the main large dowel to fit the cut dowels. They fit nicely with no glue and only one bolt on the bottom to attach the tree to the playground. I like how the F040 cage is short enough for the kids and I to easily interact with the birds while they are playing on top.
I will hopefully be adding more pics in the future. I am home from work today to stay home with my son who has a nasty cold. I thought I would share some pics since I had some time.
That was a wonderful idea making that play tree for them,by the way your birds are so cute.the 4 swings is a great idea for when you have more than 2 together.lol I bet they have a great time together as a flock.thanks for posting the pictures
Yes, every budgie needs their own swing, lol. I had only two swings with the four budgies, but than I noticed them arguing over the swings. I had to buy two more. I never saw all four on a swing at the same time, but I have seen three on a swing at the same time.
They love toys hanging near the swings too, so they can swing and play at the same time. It looks pretty funny and I don't know how they enjoy it. They end up have a wild ride on the swing as they reach, grab, and pull the toys.
Des, your budgies are really beautiful and your set up is amazing. I LOVE that play tree and I bet your wee birdies have a lot of fun on it.I do hope your son gets over his cold quickly too. Colds can make children really miserable. Let's hope you don't catch it.
