So I've been little by little setting up Chip's side of the double flight cage that he will be sharing with Mink.
Here are some of the new things I got for Chip, and the entire cage as it looks now.
I love this little 'bell carousel' and this versatile ladder/toy
These balls can be stuffed with millet, for a foraging toy
This purple corner dish was actually sold as a rodent "litter box"
but I re-purposed it into a budgie play center. I hope he likes it... the tray can hold more foot toys and little treats.
This one I was not going to use at first, as it was Twigs' old bed. I couldn't bear to have it be used as a vertical hanging ladder again, the way I had it for Twigs. It was in such good condition, that I decided to use it and bend it like this for a "bridge style" ladder instead.
This is the cage so far. I have a few more little toys to add from Chip's quarantine cage. Even though it's a huge cage, it's getting cramped in there will all the stuff! All my birds' cages look like this (a ton of stuff inside)
. I have more dishes to put in too.
This cage is the equivalent of 2 standard 32X18" flight cages, but with a pull out divider in the middle. I am not sure yet how often I will take out the divider, but at first it will be in place.
