A lot happened this month so I decited to make a ongoing thread. First of all Tiny imitates kissing sounds! She imitates a big kiss and small kisses. She bobs her head when she is filled with energy and when she's happy! She is still molting and she lost her long tail feathers and she has grown 4 wing feathers! Her tail looks so short right know lol. Poor baby.
It's soooooo hot in Holland! These 2 weeks were too hot and it will stay this way till September they say. It's between the 30 °C and 40 °C and yesterday it was 38 °C! I don't know how warm it is in America but in general the temperature in Holland in the summer is between 25 °C - 30 °C. Sometimes poor Tiny is panting and sometimes she opens her wing a bit. I give her baths and some fresh fruit. She loves apples, mango, blue berries and cucumber. The windows and doors are open, I know it's a risk but if we close the windows we will 'die' in here lol. All the windows are a tilt and turn window so we keep all the windows on tilt stand. And the curtains are half closed. We don't have air conditioning or something so we can't use that to cool down. I took this picture today and Tiny is enjoying her fresh cucumber! On Snapchat you can add the temperature lol.
I'm going on vacantion for 12 days.. I'm gonna mis her so much. Last night it was the last time I saw her, she slept in my hand for the last time. After a half hour I put her back in her cage and told her goodnight. And I miss her already. My mom is going to take care of her so she will be fine.
She still sleeps in my hand every night. She litterly runs to my hand and wants to sit in it. So cute.
Wow, I live in America but my great-grandparents migrated from the Netherlands! I got to visit the lovely country last year as well. The Dutch culture is still very much alive in my family though! I look forward to following your adventures in Holland!
Tiny is gorgeous, I love the dilute wing markings. So cool you have such a sweet bond with her.
