My Baby Boy <3

So I went to the bird store today to visit my baby (he still needed to learn to eat on his own.)

The red color in his wings water color marker. The store did this to mark him as sold.

Then during our visit the owner tells me he’s ready to go home when ever I’m ready. So we looked for some toys and went home!! I’m so happy he is amazing!

How exciting that is is finally going home with you, he is so adorable. Hope to see lots more of him once he settles in at home. Don't be surprised if he seems a bit less tame at home, it is just because he is nervous in the new place.

Congratulations! He’s very cute :). As Cody says above, he might act differently in a new environment. Or, he will be tame out of fear for several days, then become more wild as he gets comfortable.

Have you thought of a name yet?

Slushyi 03-09-2019 04:07 PM

I have no idea what to name him still. I thought of calling him Tomodachi, it means friend in Japanese. I’m still unsure though, any name suggestions will be totally accepted! Lol.

So far he seems to always want to be with me. It’s cute I think it’s cause I visited him at the shop. We’ll see how or if he changes.

Picture of him with his siblings. My baby boy is in the middle. One of the chicks was so cute when the lady was grabbing my baby this chick was going crazy biting at her thinking she was feeding it was soooooo adorable. My baby was trying to feed this chick or soothe it it was cute!

Your little guy is simply precious!

How old is your little fellow? Are you certain that he is fully and completely weaned?
It is always best that budgies not be released from it's parent and siblings until they reach at least 8 weeks old.

Adorable! I agree about not being able to to home until they are at least 8 weeks old. Baby birds can regress if they haven’t been weaned long enough. I know it’s hard to wait though!

I have to check with the shop on the age. If they did tell me I did not notice. And I’ve been meaning to call them I just get distracted and when I remember it’s like the middle of the night.

New picture. It’s been a while lol.

This budgie is awfully young.
Did you ever find out how old it actually is.
That is something I'd want to know if it were my bird...

The picture is very cute.
I take it you either do embroidery or needlepoint?

Be very careful that the baby does not get its toes, legs or neck tangled in that string.
Additionally, don't let it chew on the string as ingesting the fibers can lead to crop impaction.
