Vitakraft Fruitti Cocktail for Birds containing maggots!

I don't know whether admin can put this somewhere for everyone to see. But myself and my mum have both bought boxes of this and they both had tiny white maggots inside when you empty the box. When we returned them to the store they said they'd had it before with maggots in, they opened a new box in front of us and that also had maggots in. I've attached a picture of what the box looks like and what the maggot looks like too

I would not feed anything with maggots in it. While ‘technically’ it won’t make them ill; when you spend money on a product, you expect to get exactly what you pay for (without the extra protein :() , and expect it to be fresh. The presence of maggots indicates the product you bought has been on the shelf for a VERY long time. I’ll bet it has been sitting so long that there is no nutritional value left in the food. I would not buy food there again.

It hadn't been on the shelf long as the week before I bought it they didn't have any, so it was new stock, they are contacting the company that makes it to see if they've had issues in the warehouse, the fruity mix was only a treat for my 3 ( I put it inside one of their toys and also train the other one to sit on my hand with it)
It got took back to the store and they took all the other boxes off the shelf.
I'm just prewarning people incase it is a factory issue

Thank you for making this post to alert other members of possible issues with this product.

I'm making the thread a "sticky" in the "Budgie Product Review" section of the forum.
