one of the budgies got his teos stuck in this perch in the crack, it forms a sort of wedge
untill the crack formed i had no promblems with it

i have contacted super bird creations about it and they have stopped production

Quote:
Although they have been great sellers for us we have stopped production and will be discontinuing this item. Your budgie's accident only reinforces this decision.

This is a great thread. I hope it will be made a sticky.

As a TB member recently just got this toy I wanted to pull up the warning thread on it.

It is about this toy called the "tear-riffic pouch"

A member had their bird got tangled in it, luckily she was around to free her bird. Here is the original thread from that member: https://talkbudgies.com/showthread.php?t=60395&

thanks for joining in Z & Debbie, keep them coming

boings are being sold with cotton dangling - don't forget to trim them

it's easy, quick and free to do. all it takes is a pair of scissors

this is a photo of sweatpea after she got some wrapped round her neck

luckily she lives to tell the story and warm other people

Be careful with husks in toys, they can grown mold
husks are used commonly in foraging toys to pad them out
i remove it all before hand

thesse are quoted from another forum, i have tried to pick ones ive seen in photos around the forum, there is so many more
many thanks to the people that took the time to share and spread awareness

I was going to buy some vine balls, after reading that I won't be bothering...and you'd think they would be safe for budgies to chew on.

Thanks to Spicky for mentioning a while back about the strands of rope on either end of the spiral rope perches....My Sky sits on the top right close to the bits and if I wasn't warned, I wouldn't of thought any different and left it. It's all cut short now and she is fine there....thanks for that.
