Default Budgie ******

He just can't take NO for an answer!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6Q4...0HYvxCAZ6SOJrA

This is a daily ritual in our house, definitely in the morning and usually around dinner time. This is also the reason why I got Peeps (which unfortunately didn't work out because she was attacking the tiels) and why I should have kept Peanut (which I highly regret rehoming her). Otherwise they are fine during the day.

He just gets in these moods where he wants to feed her face but she doesn't want anything of it. I can' give him mirrors because he gets obsessive. I'm still debating if maybe another male budgie would be a solution, or if it would make things worse between the budgies and tiels I really don't want to have to keep them in separate cages, they're all used to being out and about when we are home. I just wish he wasn't so adamant about it! Muffin really does love him because she chooses to sit near him in the cage a lot, but she is not a fan of his "affection" lol

Haha, Chip is quite persistent in his pursuit, he's such a happy boy despite the unrequited love!
Maybe one day another special budgie girl just like Peanut will find her way to your home.

O-M-G this video is so hilarious and insanely cute! Just look at Chippy go batty on Miss Muffin! She's like "Please Chip, I love you like a brother but not in that way, okay? You're just not my type, so 'no' means NO!"

I've never seen Chip this batty and he's just all over the place like a wind-up bouncy toy!

Btw, I was also wondering about what happened to Peanut and this post answered my question. I also miss her very much

Little Chip is one persistent fellow.
Even Muffin's attempts to "warn" him off don't seem to have any affect on him whatsoever!

Poor Muffin, what a little pest Chip is!
I don't know what to tell you, Jill. Perhaps you should try and get another budgie to keep Chip company after all. This time, I would go for a male, and preferably English.
This is exactly how my budgies used to behave around my cockatiels. They thought they were being friendly, but the cockatiels were so annoyed with them, lol. It's just that cockatiels and budgies have different kind of energy level, different personalities and behavior.

I would love to get another English boy I think I would just have to invest in a second flight cage, which we don't really have room for. I'll see how things go once I start working and the three of them are locked up all day I really don't think he's meaning to do any harm to her, I can just tell it bugs her!

Awwww all the budgie wants is to give the other some love.

I can understand why some birds do not get along with budgies. Budgies can be aggressively loving. it is so sweet tho.

Poor Muffin! Chip is quite the persistent little so and so isn't he? I would try another male budgie. All mine are male and they all woo each other all the time. At least they all have the same energy!

No, I don't think Chip would harm Muffin. Mine never wanted to harm the cockatiels either, they put the the tiels on the edge though with constant "in your face-love you" behavior.
How about you split the cage you have in half? Then the budgies can have one part and the cockatiels the other?
