Letters to Santa Birdie - Post your budgie's here!
Sparky: Peachy's finished his letter to Santa-Birdie but now he's afraid to mail it!
Scooter: Yeah, Peachy says the Post Office might lose his letter 'fore it makes it to Santa Birdie
Skipper: That's not good - if they lose Peachy's letter, they may lose otherbirdies' letters too. We'd better collect the letters from everybirdie on the forum and deliver them directly to him ourselves!
Any Letters (or Questions) to Santa-Birdie that need to be sent expedited express by Skipooterky can now be posted in this thread!
What a splendid idea!!
And how thoughtful of Skipooterky to want to help out in delivering such important mail from birdies all over the world to Santa Birdie!
The flock of 14 wants to send one big letter to Santa Birdie, so that he doesn't have to read their individual wishes for the holiday season:
Dear Santa Birdie,
My name is Luigi, I have been a very good boy this year and so were my flock mates, at least it's what they've told me, I really don't know.
I have noticed my good friend Khaleesi has many toys, he has 3 toy boxes and he does let me play with them, but I want my own box filled with toys.
My mate Goldilocks wants a swing encrusted with diamonds and also wants her nails done for Christmas.
Peppy wants a new video game and Leonel would like to have a new toy bell to play with.
Dinda wants a new chew toy and Tito Junior wants the highest wooden ladder there is.
Mona wants some special treats for her and the rest of the flock and she also wants a new bell toy, preferably a ball with a bell on it.
Carioca wants to meet Santa birdie, have some cookies and milk with him.
For the lovebirds, Khaleesi wants a new toy, it doesn't matter which one as long as he gets to play it with his momma.
Lotas wants a big swing with bells on it and his favourite treat, Cheerios cereal.
Sindel wants a couple of new chew toys and Nico wants a pedi perch.
Fénix wants anything she can put her beak on, it doesn't matter which toy it is as long as it's shreddable. And Penguin has a question for Santa Birdie, she doesn't want to tell me what it is, so she will be the one writing it.
Hello Santa Birdie,
I have been told I'm a Penguin but I don't see any snow around me. I should have snow, can you bring me some snow, Santa?
Santa Birdie, you live in a place with lots of snow, are you a Penguin too?
RIP sweet Tito (Summer 2008 - January 17th 2013).
You are missed and never will be forgotten.
Dear Santa Birdie,
Please disregard any letters to you from my mom. She may have told you that I have been a naughty bird this year (running off for two days and begging for chips from strangers at a gas station ) but that is not the whole story. I have also been very nice to my mom, tried really hard to preen my dad (not my fault he is not into it), and I have been super tolerant of that new fluffy monster we got back in May (his name is Gizmo, and he steals a lot of attention from Mom)
Anywhoo, please bring a lot of millet and corn chips to me this year. Also, don't forget my girlfriend, Candy. She is a sweetheart and she definitely deserves something special like a shredable kabob (you know how ladies like to decorate their houses)
I suppose you could drop off a bone or two for the dogs. Then, they might leave me alone
Thank you Santa Birdie, you're the best!
It would be best if you don't bite your Mom and chase the other birds next year so we can consider you to really be a good boy.
What a sweetheart you are to write the letter for your whole flock. I'll do my best to make all their Christmas wishes come true.
I'll try to bring you some snow but since I have to fly all over the whole world, I'm not sure it will still be frozen when I get there. I'll ask your Mom to put it in your water dish just in case it melts before you find it.
Ahem, I did hear about your adventure and you almost scared your poor Mom to death flying off that way. I'm very glad you made it back home safely. Since you've been trying to be good since then, I'm sure you, Candy, Gizmo and Eddie will be receiving some nice goodies for Christmas this year.
Hello Santa Birdie!
This is Nick, Lina said that I should write the letter to Santa Birdie this year, anyway who can resist her will?
I think I have been a good birdie this year.. I have not made anyone upset and I eat all of my food! I think that I want a new swing and I want you to tell my mom that I always perch on the top of my swing during sleep, it's not that awkward, right?
Aries says that he wants some millet sprays and a coconut, he wants to perch upside down! He is a weird guy but I like him!
Lina wants a bigger cage! She says that a lady shouldn't have a small house! I don't get it, but this is what she wants!
I would love to meet you one day, can I?
I hope you have the best Christmas, Santa Birdie!
It's Noah here and my mom asked me to send you my letter 'online' this year (I hope the elves don't mind - I mean I know I like to chew up the post so i guess they might too? I suppose I can always post a hard copy for them )
My mom takes very good care of me and I have lots of toys and entertainment already, I also just got my new summer coat (I'm nice and fluffy again) and I've conquered my fear of the travel cage (vet phobia). So I guess I'm sorted in many ways. There are one or two things though if you wouldn't mind helping me out please. You see I've went into business with my dad - interior design - I chew off the top layer of wall and he plasters over it again - I'm very neat with my measurements and my mom always compliments how straight and accurate I make the box shape. But lately my dad has been slacking off on the plastering and I've run out of wall! Can you bring me a new wall please? If that's too much, perhaps you could bring a new raffia bush toy instead - I use it to warm my feet after my bath but the last one is all used up now.
Oh and some juicy raspberries too please
There is one other thing Santa, my brother Oisin grew his Angel Wings in April and I miss him. Will you please visit him in heaven and check that he's okay? Send him my love Santa - me and my mom look after his things very carefully - sometimes I borrow his swing, my mom says he would want me to enjoy it.
Pip and Alfie saw me open this thread and instantly started chattering out their messages! So I'm handing the laptop over to them...
Pip, you're Purple
Alfie, you're Blue
HI SANTABIRDY!!! This is my first ever Christmas! I'm SOO excited!!!Alfie! You have to be nice and polite, or Santa won't give us anything! What even is Christmas?Remember, mum told you - its where it's really cold outside, but everyone's happy and there's merry music and lots of presents. This is our letter to Santa, asking if he will bring us anything.Oh, okay!
I'll go first then. Santa, i've been a very good boy this year and I hope have entertained mum lots. I also kept Pip company while he was sad about losing Orla a couple of months ago, because he was really close to her. I also want to thank my mum so much for rescuing me from the pet shop, I had been in that tiny tiny cage with no toys for four months and it was driving me so mad, I hated it! Thankfully mum saw me and couldn't leave me (I'm too cute see), she took me hope and instantly put me in a bigger cage. I thought that was good, but then, after a few weeks, I was actually let out!! I could FLY!!! Actually FLY! So a big thanks mum, I now have the happiest life a budgie could ever want with my best friend Pip, lots of toys and lots of flight space
So anyway is there any chance I could have a new shredder toy? I shredded my old one...Thanks Santa!
Hi Santa, it's Pip. I have thought long and hard about this, and I realised I have all the toys I could ever want. There is only one thing I really want, so here goes.
Before Alfie came, I was brought home and welcomed by two beautiful girl budgies, Jo and Orla. Orla was the most stunning bird ever, and she really was like a mum to me, and Jo had a feather condition, which meant she was scrawny and couldn't fly but to me she was beautiful. Jo was so playful and I loved her to bits but it broke my heart to watch her try and always fail to fly. I thought my life was perfect, until Jo started to get weaker and weaker. It was actually on Christmas day last year that she died... so this Christmas is gonna be a hard one for me. Maybe you were too busy to come and save her, I don't know.
Then, a couple of months ago, Orla left me. I was totally devastated, Alfie was the only thing that got me through. I'm okay now, but not a day goes by where I don't think about my two first real friends. So I was going to ask you if you could bring them back to me, healthy and happy again. But mum gently told me that that wouldn't be possible, so I'm going to ask this: please, Santa, go up to heaven and tell them I say hi. Make sure they're happy up there, and ask Jo how she likes her new angel wings. Tell them I miss them. Tell them I love them.
Dear Remy and Suzy,
You've both been very good budgies this year and my elves have put your request in my bag for delivery on Christmas Eve!
It was very kind of you to write the letter including both Aries and Lina's wishes as well as your own. You might get to meet me one day but it may be a long time from now before that can happen. I'll work with your Mom hopefully all the Christmas wishes you've written about will come true.
You are such a special boy and it's so nice that you've gone into business with your Dad. I'm sure he appreciates it very much. Since he's too busy to keep up with your good work on the wall, I'll make sure you get a new raffia toy and some juicy sweet raspberries for Christmas.
I was up visiting heaven just today and saw your little brother Oisin. He watches you and your Mom every day. Oisin loves you both very much and wants only for you to be happy. He knows you'll all be together again someday. Oisin said you can play on his swing whenever you want and to please be happy when you think of him.
First Christmases are very exciting, aren't they? I'm so happy you've been adopted and now have a wonderful home where you can fly. I know you've done a good job helping Pip and he's very happy to have you as his buddy. A new shredder toy sounds like a fine Christmas gift for such a wonderful fellow!
I know how very much you miss Jo and Orla so I went to see them again today as soon as I read your letter. I told them you love them and miss them.
Jo is healthy and happy and has beautiful feathers now. She can fly very well and wants you to know she loves you.
Orla wants you to know she is keeping Jo company and someday you will be together again. Right now Jo and Orla want you to stay with your Mom and Alfie for as long as you can, enjoy your time on earth and be happy. They both like to watch you and Alfie play and they love you and your Mom very much. They asked that you and Mom remember the good times and smile with you think of them. That is what they want for Christmas.
I'll pick a special present just for you for Christmas -- you are a wonderful boy.
