Dear Santa Birdie,
Since we have been soooo good this year, (We both step up now & we love our veggies) we were hoping to get some fresh California eucalyptus to play in & maybe some of those seashell platform perches to keep our toenails trim. We also want a budgie - safe tent to practice flying & some honey sticks. Please and Thank You.
I've been a very good little boy this year, mommy is so proud of me for slowly learning to talk. For Christmas I'd like a new perch and also some destructive toys for out of cage play time! My mommy loves seeing me happy and healthy so I know she'll agree with my options!
Biz said he doesn't need to ask Santa for anything for himself (because a certain someone was a little bit ambitious with black friday sales) ... and therefore one thing that he does want is for his human caretaker / butler to please *remove* some things in his cage so maybe he has more room to fly..... .... and what he would really like to ask for.... he seconds Peachy's request for foster & rescue budgies to find wonderful homes... and also for good health for all the budgies on TB and beyond.
All: What, there’s a Santa Birdie, oh cool, we didn’t know!
Simon: I LOVE playing in the budgies' cages, but Santa, I’m not so wild about the budgies themselves, they’re OK, but if you could take a few of them…oh what? That isn’t nice? OK, oh never mind….
Kip and Coconut: What? Who? Oh, no, we don’t need anything, we’re very happy just being our cheery little oblivious selves….
Lucy: Oooh, Santa Birdie, I really like my cage, but so does that big cockatiel Simon. Do you think you could do something about…Oh, OK, never mind.
Lemon and Lime: We would like some more toys in our cage! We aren’t so scared now and we would play them…and we think we can go down to the bottom of the cage, too. Oh, and Lemon needs her own swing. Somebody is a bit of swing hog.
Benjamin: there was this really nice lady budgie who I used to share my cage…no, I can’t have her back? Oh, drat. Maybe just a new toy, then? Nothing too big or fancy—I’m pretty happy with my home the way it is.
Barnes and Noble: Santa Birdie, there’s one swing in our cage that we REALLY dislike. It moves all over when we sit on it and it’s scary. You could just take that one with you and leave something else in it’s place. Otherwise, we’re cool.
Poppy: Babies. Santa Birdie, here’s what we need. We want to take over some more of the room and we want more of a birdie playland. We need a couple more small perching areas out and about and some more toys to play with. I don’t need anything else for my cage, but I really love exploring and finding new playthings (like those computer keys) to fling around and destroy. Thank you, Santa Birdie!
It's Luigi here and I'm representing my budgie flockmates.
We have all been very good this year. My sisters Dinda and Peppy would each like a shredding toy, my brother Tito Junior a new wooden ladder and Leonel a new bell toy. Little Miss Goldilocks and I would like a new swing for two.
I will pass the word now to my buddy Khaleesi who is writing on behalf of the lovie flock.
Hi Santa Birdie,
My momma is always telling me how good of a boy I am and I think the lovebird flock has also behaved well this year.
Sindel would like a treat stick to demolish in less than 10 minutes and a new platform perch. Nico wants a new jingly ball to play with.
Lotas would like a new swing and Fénix wants a couple of shredding toys.
What I want the most is to always be with my momma, I want her and me to be in good health so that we can spend as much time together as possible.
I wouldn't mind having a new game to play and a few more bottle caps to have fun with.
Take care, Santa Birdie. When you pass by our house, you will have some fresh water, bird friendly cookies and millet.
RIP sweet Tito (Summer 2008 - January 17th 2013).
You are missed and never will be forgotten.
Dear Santa Birdie, this is Chip here.. I'm really excited cause this is my first Christmas! I think I've been really good... I want toys! I love to play more than anything, and I love all kinds of toys. We have lots in here already, but we can always use more. I don't care what kind. My friend Mink and I (she's only a friend, nothing more!) are also hoping for more of that yummy special seed blend to fill our favorite seed holders that we like to sit together at. That's our 'social' thing we do together. It's like how humans go out for a coffee and sit at a little table together.
Hey Santa Birdie, Griffin parrot here. Mom says I haven't been particularly good this year, but I'm not sure I agree with her. I'm trying really hard to be good! Sheesh I can't help if I have raging teenage hormones right now! I know I've been a little mean to Raven at times... and I know I need to stay off of the covers on Robin's and the budgie's cages, but I only want to say "hi" to them and maybe even touch them. She won't let me though. Okay, anyway "I" think I've been a good boy. I need a ton of extra tough toys that I can destroy with all my pent up energy when I have to be in my cage. I'm guessing Raven wants new toys too. Bring him some cool ones... you know, the kind "I" like, cause I'm in hanging out with him in his cage a lot. Then there's Robin. That guy is 22 years old! Man, he's so old we can't relate to each other. He's mean to me too. Don't get him anything. I know he's mom's favorite anyway, and she'll get him stuff. Whatever! Oh, and I think all us parrots want Nutriberries treats. Get us the 'good' flavor okay? Thanks Santa!
Dear Santa Birdie,
I hope what my boys wrote to you was appropriate. Griffin sealed the envelope before I could read and approve it. I have raised all my birdies to be courteous and polite, so I'm confident that there was no problem there.
Thank you so much for bringing my special boys and girl gifts that I know they'll love and be thankful for. Also, thank you for caring for all the homeless birdies at the rescues, as well as the beloved pet birds around the world.
