The blue one is definitely female, I'm not sure on the green, I'm thinking male though.

Thanks! I asked for a male and a female, but I got them from PetCo. so I didnít want to be too sure about their genders, and with my color blindness it was difficult to tell. Again, thank you for confirming the blue one at least.?

I agree the blue one is female, the green one... not quite sure. Could you please post a front on picture of him/her in natural lighting?

Hi! to Talk Budgies

Why did you specifically want a mixed gender pair?

With a mixed gender pair, it is extremely important you follow all the steps to discourage breeding:

When We Don't Want Eggs

As indicated, if you post a full-frontal picture of the cere of the green budgie taken in natural light, the gender can be confirmed for you.

Both budgies are very cute.

Please take the time to read through the Site Guidelines, all of the How To Guides, the FAQs, the Budgie Articles and the stickies located at the top of each section of the forum.

Truly, the very BEST advice anyone can offer you is to take the time to read ALL of the stickies throughout the various Talk Budgie forums as well as the Budgie Articles we have posted.

These are great resources for Talk Budgie members and have a wealth of reliable information which will assist you to learn the best practices in caring for your budgies for their optimal health and well-being.

Hi there and to the forums!

Your green budgie is a male and your blue girl is female More pictures would help, however, taken without the flash. As mentioned above, be sure that you're doing all you can to discourage breeding with the information in the links above.

As you're new to the forums, be sure to read through all the forum's many Budgie Articles and "stickies" (threads "stuck" to the top of each subform for easy reference) to ensure you're up to date on all the best practices for budgie care.

If you have any questions after reading through everything, be sure to ask!

We look forward to seeing you and your little budgies around the forums! What are their names?

Cheers
