Rainbow Budgie Unknown Gender - 2
Sorry to open new topic.
But my other topic is closed.
In previous topic I asked my rainbow budgie's gender.
https://www.talkbudgies.com/determini...wn-gender.html
All said female and I am convinced. But my budgies acts as if they are mating. Could you please check that video below and comment?
I am 100% sure that my other budgie is a girl.
Regards.

To me it looks like they're just playing around with each other, they look like very good friends. Do you have photos of the other budgie?

Hi,
This is chubby, his or her friend
I think Alex put his foot to the back of chubby. My other budgies were doing that before mating.
Edit: I am not the one who trimmed chubby's wings. It was like that when I bought her.

Sometimes budgies can play roughly and "step" on each other. Also, some budgies may make motions to mate with another even if they're the same gender.
Either way, as long as you're not providing any nests or anything, hopefully their hormones will stay under control

Please be sure you to follow all the advice for preventing mating whenever you have mixed gender pairs in the same cage.

I have two male (gender test done) cockatiels and one of them sometimes puts his foot on the other one. No mating attempts and definitely not a mixed gender pair.
