Hello and

You have come to the right place to learn even more about best practices in budgie care! Do read all the articles and stickies.

The first bird appears to be a female but I am not 100% sure. The second bird is definitely a male. I believe that the albino may be older, since she appears to have iris rings.

Best of luck with your new feathered friends!

Yes, I would say female, male. Also, I would replace the dowel perches in the cage with a variety of natural perches, such as Grapevine or Java.

Hi! to Talk Budgies

The first two pictures are of your female and the last two pictures are of your male.

As you have a mixed gender pair, it is extremely important that you do everything necessary to discourage breeding.

Rearranging their cage frequently, and limiting the light they get to 8 hours a day will help tremendously. Please be sure you never put a nest box or anything that could be used as a nesting site in their cage.

When they come into condition, limit the amount of protein in their diet at that time.

Guidance regarding Breeding Advice Threads

It would be best to remove the wooden dowel perches and replace them with natural wood perches of varying diameters in order to help prevent pressure sores.

It's looking like female, male, female, female. However I could be wrong, depending on the lighting.
