i know there is a sticky about how to determine their age but i found it a little hard to understand.....

can someone explain how to determine the age of budgies and can anyone tell me how old mine are lol. the employee told me Macy was a boy so im not too sure if she had gotten the ages right. the lady is super nice and means well but i dont think knows that much about budgies.

also let me know if you need better pictures of them! i will try to get more if needed

Your birds are still quite young, I can't see how much barring is on the head of the green one too well but if the barring on the head is the same as the blue and white bird then they are probably about the same age. That barring will be lost once they go through their first moult, my guess is that they are less than 3 months old. Once a budgie is an adult there is no way to tell the age just by looking, you would need to know the hatch date.

i know Mimi (green one) is a bit older then Macy (blue and white) since she doesnt have as much barring but is also young. i will have to get a better pic of her in the morning.

Yes, in most mutations, in an adult you can see the light iris, there are some mutations where that is not the case.
