Default Need help with genders and colors

Hello everybody! I am fairly new with budgies and have had my two for a little more than a month now. When I bought them I was told they were both boys, but their Ceres hadn’t turned blue. I would also like to know the varieties or colors of my two. The pale yellow one in front is Cassini and has very faint brown stripes. The blue one behind Cassini is Juno. Thanks in advance!

Its a bit hard to tell much from those pictures, we need a clear view of them. However, they both look to be recessive pieds so if males hthy will keep the pinkish ceres, if hens they will go brown at some point.

Cassini is a yellow face 2 and possibly a spangle recessive pied. I can't see enough body colour to tell what it is.

Hi there

Do you have better photos of both of them? In these ones, their ceres are too far away to see clearly, although I agree with Toni that they both do appear to be boys. Better pics would help to confirm

So sorry! Hopefully these pictures are better. I tried to get some that show their Ceres and colorings. They’re tricky little birds but noting some millet can’t solve! (By the way, I usually never take photos of them with flash, but it just happened to go off and ended up showing Cassini’s coloring nicely.)

Thanks for the additional pics. I know they’re not easy to get sometimes . Still not the best pics for accurate cere color, but it looks like Juno is a male, and Cassini might be female. If Juno is recessive pied, he’ll keep the same cere color his entire life.
