Need some help - Boy or Girl?

3 Attachment(s)
I've had this sweet what I'm assuming is a girl since mid November and have posted pics of her in budgie groups on facebook and I have had some people tell me girl others say boy. So I need some help determining the gender of "her". These are natural sunlight pictures, had her and her companion outside in their cage earlier today. And more info, her cere is a very light pink almost white in person, it looks pinker in pictures.

Hi :welcome:

Cute budgie.. looking at your avatar pic, which looks more clear to me than the attached pics, you have a male.

I’m going to say probably because even with natural light in these pics the colors appear washed out and hard to see. You mention a whitish color, but if the cere is light pink and has a sort of whitish ‘haze’ over it, they’re male. If the whitish color is more ‘chalky’ and opaque, that would indicate female. However, pink is not a female budgie color.

If you can take more pics in natural light without it being too bright, which is making the photo washed out looking, that would help to see natural color so we can confirm this.

If you haven’t already, please read the Stickies at the top area of each forum section. You’ll find answers to basic questions there, and find some useful tips.

Enjoy the forum :).
