Default Blue Cere female budgie?

Hi, I have a 10ish month old blue parakeet who I was confident was a girl until the last few weeks. When I got her at around three months old, she had a light purple cere with pink legs/feet, but over the past 2 months or so her cere has become very obviously blue which made me begin to believe she may be a male. However I’m still confused because her legs and feet have remained pink which would indicate a female... Although I still think she’s probably a girl, I am less sure now. She/he is my first parakeet, so if any more experienced budgie owners could shed some light on what gender my bird may be I would much appreciate it. Thanks!

She/he is my profile avatar so you can see a pic for reference.

That is a boy. They have pinky/purple ceres as babies and blue as adults. The color of the feet have nothing to do with gender.

Thank you!
I guess I was confused because of some sources which mentioned leg/feet coloration too.

Skin colour is related to the variety of budgie, not to the gender. It is a good clue for helping work out the variety though!

His name is Pepper
Thank you for your advice, I will go read through the stickies!
I appreciate the help!

I am sorry if there was an emoji in the last post. It wasn’t on purpose, but my autocorrect changed it

I will make sure to use the smilies for future reference

Thank you, Claire!
Pepper is a sweet name for your little guy.
I hope to see lots more pictures of him in the days to come.
You can start an on-going picture thread for him in the "Budgie Pictures" section of the forum if you wish to do so.
