Default I need some help determining whether my new budgie is a male or not

Hi everyone!

I'm a new member here. I've been wanting a male budgie and I think the one I chose is a male, but there's a part of me that is unsure. Maybe I'm just overthinking it. His cere appears the characteristic dark purple (but not so much pink) of a male but it also kind of looks like a light blue? I'm hoping someone could tell me what its gender may be. Thanks so much!!

Your budgie is a beautiful little boy.
Some young females have pink ceres, but not purple, let alone that dark.
I hope I helped you.
