Default Is this a male?

This little guy (I think) was found in my neighborhood sitting a windshield wiper. No one claimed him I gave him a home. My first bird. He's been a good quarantine buddy during the pandemic, hence, his name, Tino.

Learning to train him is a hoot. 1,000 pound horses are easier! He was dead quiet the first 10 days or so and then started some chattering. I allow him free time out but he barely leaves his flight cage. No way to know how long he was free but he seems attached to his flight cage for now. I need to learn about flight training.

He sees an avian vet next week as I think his feathers are a little ragged. I suspect feather mites and he needs a giardia test since he was running with the wild birds.

Is he a male? I'd like to adopt a buddy for him but do not want any chance of breeding. Having two cages does not get him a buddy. Would really appreciate experienced eyes on this pic. Thanks, Glenna
