That is a very nice looking bird, to me the cere looks pink with a bit of a purple cast to it, if that is what it looks like in person then you have a boy. Can you post a frontal picture taken in natural light?

Hi! to Talk Budgies

Please post a full-frontal picture of your budgie's cere taken in natural light.

Each budgie is a unique individual and you should not rely on behavior to try to determine gender.

Hi there and to the forums!

Your budgie is precious - I agree that the photo is not the best for telling gender, however.

If you could post a full-frontal photo taken in natural light, we'll be able to tell their gender for you.

It's great to have you on the forums and welcome. You've come to a great place to stay updated on the best of budgie care practices. Please be sure to read through the links provided above by FaeryBee, and if you have any questions after doing so please be sure to ask as we'd love to help.

We hope to see you around here!
