This little baby is 4 weeks old. I put a deposit on hopes that it is a boy. I am hearing he is super sweet and calm. I have my female Darla. I do not want to chance 2 females not getting along. I know it is possible that a male and female can also fight, but the odds are better. And I am very partial to boys. As much as I love my Darla, she is 100% a strong willed witchy girl. Lol. So what do we think, boy or girl? Temperament leans towards boy, but the light around the nostrils makes me question. Can you really be sure at 4 weeks?
Thank you. I do think it may be girl too. But this little one is so sweet and calm. It is a sibling to my Darla. I definitely want a male. I think only 1 may only be a male in this clutch. They also had 2 6 month old English budgies. I was thinking about maybe one of them. Decisions. Lol!
To me it also looks like a little girl I know you wanted a male but in fact many females get along quite well together just as well as males or a male and a female do! In fact it's mostly temperament that determines if two budgies will get along or not. Here's a thread re. female budgies:
Thank you for the confirmation everyone. She is really cute! I am still deciding. Since hubby will only allow one more, I am really wanting a boy. Plus I think the odds are better with a boy getting along with Darla. I know nothing is 100%, but I like the better odds
Me too! Lol! I just received a call that just just got in a baby green English boy that is super sweet. Hopefully it is truly a boy and the cere will be less confusing. I told them to put my deposit on him and I will come see him as soon as I can. Unfortunately it will probably not be until Friday!
OMG!!!! She sent photos today. I am so in love and I haven't even met him yet. I am beyond excited. I can't wait to take him home. So far he will either be, Spanky( to go with Darla) or Jasper. I do not no why the photos came out sideways. I can't seem to fix them.
I love the name Spanky for your new little fellow!! He is beyond precious.
