Everyone knows of the utter love and adoration of millet, yeah? My two will do almost anything for millet.

BUT......... given the choice between millet and a mix of corn and peas, they go nuts over the veg every time!!

Any of you have some millet shunners for the right delight?

It's great that your birds are wise enough to pick veggies over millets, Moira.

My budgies go crazy over carrots more than millets

Gotta love good choices! Corn, however, is grain and not a veggie peas are pulses, again not a veggie per say. My birds love both as well but I only feed organic corn as most corn on the North American market is GMO (genetically modified organism). In Canada Costco sells a huge bag for about $8 and it lasts me quite a while with all my parrots (9) which range in size from parrotlet to African grey.
Did you know that when you have a field with a GMO product next to a field of nonGMO (same crop) product that wildlife always choose the nonGMO field? I've always known that animals are smarter than us in many ways… Say NO to GMO!!
