Default Is this diet ok?

So at the moment i give ducky a choice of both vetafarm pellets and seed (& vegetables which she is yet to try). is it ok to let her choose how much she eats of each? or should i be giving her mainly pellets? she seems to like eating the pellets a bit more anyway! is seed really that bad for budgies? i just feel mean not letting her have it...

Hi Georgia, I have been looking for a brand of pellets for my two...sorry I don't know any answers to your questions...someone should be along soon, that will be able to answer them...I have found a recipe for 'birdie cake' and needed pellets to make them.

Keep using the pellet's as the main staple, and use the seed more sparingly. Keep trying to get them going on veggies, and check out the link Deb posted. Egg food is wonderful for introducing new food's to them, and is very beneficial for molt recovery...
