Well he still really isn't playing with his toys but will peck on 1 of them once in a blue moon, will not touch his cuttle bone or mineral block but is more then happy to peck away at the rungs of his wooden ladder once in a while.
Now to the lil stinker part, the bowls that came with the cage are 2 parts, so there is a split down the middle making 2 cups for food or water in 1 bowl.
On 1 side I have his seeds and in the other section his egg food (store bought not home made)
So he goes for his food sitting on the cup sideways and eating away, I was all happy till I noticed something, yup the lil stinker is pooping on the egg food. nasty lil birdie lol
Other then that he is happy chirpy little guy who while still scared of the hand at least is calming down a bit and will only scootch over on his perch instead of flying all about his cage when I go to change the food
I agree with Deborah, stainless steel cups are far more healthier an d do not carry as much harmful bacteria. Plastic tends to scratch and become yucky far more quickly. Also having the single cups eliminates the pooping in the other half of the food dish !
