Default Those Honey Sticks

Once in a while my flock gets the honey sticks as a treat, you would think I starve them they way they go for it the second they see it. Even Buddy who is skittish around me will be eating before I have had time to get my hand out of the cage

All 4 of them know it by sight and just seeing me coming with them in my hands is enough to have their undivided attention as they race up and down the closest perch to where I always hang then lol

P.S. No new pics of Skootz in natural light yet as we have a heatwave going on and I don't want to take him out of the AC house and into high heat and humidity, don't want to shock the poor thing, but once it cools down and I have the windows open so they are used to the temp I will take him outside an get some nice pics of the fluffy ball of feathers

Your budgies are with honey sticks the way little kids are with candy or ice cream!

I have a honeystick on the playgym in the upstairs bedroom which I set on top of one of the cages during out-of-cage time.

Peachy likes pulling the seed off the stick but rarely eats any of it.
He'll "munch" 4 or 5 bites off the stick and leave the seed laying in the playground tray.

Sunny and Sparky will visit the playground tray for a quick nibble of what Peachy removed for them. maybe once or twice a week.
They may take a bite or two and then are off to other interests.

Jimmy loves millet the way your flock love their honey stick!
I have yet to give Jay a treat to try but will do soon enough

It's so adorable how much they love these little treats. I have yet to buy a honey stick for either of mine but I do have a honey bell I haven't given them yet. The question is, who gets it? (I got it when I just had Jimmy...).

Oh yes my guys don't get these very often but they devour them as if they are never fed. Budget doesn't get these as he is not to have sugar or those sorts of things if possible. He loves to knock the salt shaker over and see if anything comes out the naughty boy , he also loves to shred a piece of toast, he won't eat it but simply pull it apart till there is nothing but a mess then he will look at me as if to say "Well you gave it to me ?" I guess he is right

Jenni and Simmi adore the Vitakraft egg sticks, and feather care ones. Think they are to my budgie buddies what certain chocolate bars are to me!

(As you can see, they also adore tangerine, and like spinach too!)

I can't resist adding some more photos which are from today's treat stick session!:-)
Don't know who's quickest at devouring their treat: Jenni, Simmi or me....I devoured a whole chocolate bar!

I should try a honey stick for my two, thanks for the idea!
They go absolutely CRAZY for corn though, doesn't matter if it's kernels or on the cob, and if they hear us humans talk about it (eg. me asking my husband to add it to the shopping list) they snap to attention and watch me and PEEP PEEP COOOOORN
