Default Diet and nutrition

Hi, I just introduced Almonds, Pistachios and Walnuts to my budgies diet. Just wanted to know if I can feed this daily along with other foods ? And how beneficial these nuts can be ?
Thanks & Regards,
Elizza

In general, budgies aren't that keen on eating nuts. The high caloric content can be detrimental to them if given on a daily basis, so it would be best to give just a few nuts sparingly if your budgies like them.
Be aware that these nuts should be unsalted, not fried, nor coated with honey and free of condiments.

If you haven't checked this section of Talk Budgies, you can start by reading the stickies to have a better idea on what to feed your budgies, so that they have a rich, balanced and varied diet.

I agree with Aluz, my girl Mallorn loves a small piece (like 1/4 of a whole nut) of raw, unsalted almond every once in a while. I usually give it to her during a moult as the oils and protein in it helps her when she's growing new feathers
