I've had my two budgies for about 4 years. I got them at a decent pet store, but there, they were fed a mostly seed diet [now at that store they feed pellets but when I got my budges they were fed seeds]. Their main food is half seeds half pellets, but they throw out all the pellets so I try to include as many fruits and vegetables in their diet as possible. I am able to feed them lettuce, broccoli, carrots, apples, and a little parsley from time to time. What other foods are safe for them that are important for nutrition? Any diet tips for my birds?
Hardboiled mashed egg's, eggfood are really good for helping through the molt, and new feather growth. Flaxseed is also good for the same. Sound's like you already have them eating pretty healthy, and really there is a lot of different foods they can eat that have different health benefits.
