Default Which Foods?

I am thinking of switching Oogi's diet. He is on Goldenfeast , but driving the 40 minutes to get it when I don't actually drive isn't feasible.

The only thing local is petsmart, or anywhere that has free shipping online ( I hate paying shipping lol) But I want to keep him on a good diet. I am looking for a seed and pellet. I know which veggies he needs.

Do you have a seed produce place where you live... I buy my seed loose this is what I give to Indi. This is a breeders mixture I use..

You will need!!!!!

1 cup of Plain Canary Seed
1/2 of a cup of Jap Millet
1/2 of a Cup of White Millet
Small amount of Hulled Oats...

I mix this up and put some of this in Indigos seed dish and the rest left over I put in a sealed tight plastic bag... Then I buy this seed loose say 1/2 of a kilo of each seed except for the hulled Oats I buy a small bag of those I put all of the seed separate in sealed plastic bags then put it in an air tight container and store in a dark cupboard... The seed I have mixed up I also put in a sealed plastic bag and store with the other seed..... Seed will keep for quite a while so my breeder said.... I don't buy this online.... Budgies are fussy if they don't like pellets they won't eat them all depends on the bird... I use budgie crumbles as they are smaller than the normal pellets.... Indi only picks at them cause he loves seed the best......Even though we have pellets budgies also have to have seed in there diet...... I have not had one health issue with Indi and he is just on 4 years Old....This is what I give to Indi...

I did see the recipe on here, but I don't know anywhere that sells bulk seeds.

I did read the stickies I will go over them again, but I didn't see any brands.

That was the first thing I read. I guess I will just keep looking online. Right now it sounds a lot like dog food, everyone has an opinion on whats best but there is a lot of conflicting information so you have to do what works best for you.

Volkmans and Dr. Harvey's Seed mixes are recommended in the Budgie Article I pointed out to you.

Harrisons, Roudybush, Lafarbers and Zupreem are all good brands of pellets.

The information on egg food is under Budgie Health in the Recipes Forum.

i didn't know there was a recipes forum .. Sorry.

I did see those names, but i had never heard of them so I thought there may be other more readily available options.

I have Zupreem pellets, and they are readily available so i will stick to them.
