Default Should I add another food dish?

Hello!
So Pippen and berry's cage came with 3 clear food dishes and I am currently using 2. 1 for food & 1 for water. I have noticed that frequently Pippen gets too the food first and then doesn't let berry near it. She makes little high pitched annoyed sounding noises and then he goes back on the perch. I was wondering if I should add the extra food dish because it's hard to teach a budgie to share
Should I?

I think as long as you keep the food sensible portion, then they should be fine. I would personally split what you give them now between the two pots, rather than giving the same amount in each pot. This will save waste and stop them over eating.

You didn't mention exactly what kind of food you are offering in the food dish...

I have different types of pellets I use for my budgies and I keep at least one (if not more) food dish of each individual type pellet in my cages 24/7.
Currently, there are three food dishes in each cage.

Note that I don't mix their seed with the pellets.
I give them their seed rations twice a day and spread them on clean newspapers placed on the bottom grate of the cage.
This encourages them to forage for the seed, use the entire cage space and I'm able to easily control the amount of seed they receive daily.

My budgies all eat from their pellet dishes frequently throughout the day but none of my birds overeat and none are overweight.
