Default Slightly odd question regarding peppers

Hey guys! My little girl snowy is slightly a picky eater. Today my father bought fresh (spicy) peppers and I wanted it to give it a try. Oddly, Snowy munched on them immediately. Normally it would take them about a week or two to even realise it's food. So, i was very happy knowing that she really enjoyed the spicy peppers I gave her. I was sharing my joy with my father. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I do remember reading somewhere that parrots in general cannot feel the spiciness of peppers. Just after telling him this he said "Oh, possibly. But wouldn't it hurt after them passing that through?" So? What do you guys think? Would it be painful when they are passing it through the vent?

No, the spiciness of the peppers doesn't both the budgies when they eat the food or eliminate the food waste.
In general, budgies like spicy foods. Try some cliantro and see if they like that as well.

Your budgies are really cute! I love the various poses you've captured of Snowy!

Oh Snowy is just soooooooo cute (I kinda want a cuddle )
The peppers are perfectly fine to feed your birdies - Noah eats red chillies and absolutely loves them

Ohh Snowy is a bird doll she's so cute. She kind of looks like a twinzy of Deborah's Scooter .

I don't use any kind of hot peppers very often because I don't trust myself! That juice is HOT ! Once, even after vigorous washing with soap, I had a terrible reaction on my skin (hand) which burned for hours. Strange because it's never done that other than the one time. I'm also afraid of getting juice in my eyes lol.

Anyway, the birds like Jalapeņos and Pasilla peppers (which aren't as hot as jalapeņos).

I've tried peppers but so far mine haven't tried them. But it's something I plan to try again. Good job getting your precious babies to eat some.

I'm a big fan of really hot food, so this has just given me the perfect excuse to go buy some chilli peppers. Excellent.

On a side note, my mum gave me a half kilo (just over a lb to our USian friends) of dried chilli peppers. Are budgies of with those too, and if so are they a healthy snack for them?

Yes, it's fine to give your budgies dried chili peppers.

In fact, I've even seen some bird seed mixes that have tiny bits of dried chili peppers in them.
