Default Egg food, how often?

When I bought Bobo the shop manager said she had been given egg food paste once a week. So I got some and she utterly loves it (I put some veggies and garlic in the "treat" bowl today and she just keeps emptying it out and headbutting it before looking at me like she wants to kill me). The packet says it should be given every day, to make up 25% of the daily diet, which would help cut down her seed dependent diet. This seems a big leap from once a week though. I don't want to upset her system by giving it to her too often too quickly, any advice would be greatly appreciated

Once a week is best unless a budgie is molting or breeding. Too much protein can cause problems.

I don't know if having some gave her a bit of comfort as it was a continuation from her old home but she wolfed it down. She has had a nibble of basil leaves too but garlic is too much like hard work apparently lol

Egg and biscuit is ideal for a budgie that is under weight or sick, a budgie that is going through a moult . Have you tried offering some thyme, broccoli, kale?

I'm slowly trying to get her to try other foods. We only bought her home on Thursday so she's doing good really. I do a lot of Thai cooking and we grow our own organic fruit and veg so she has access to lots of yummy things once I've convinced her its good lol. I will give broccoli a try, it's nice and interesting to look at!

Mallorn really doesn't like hardboiled egg either, but she absolutely loves scrambled eggs Maybe they will, too?
