Hi,

Can someone please tell me if I have to cook/boil the mung sprouts or any other sprouts for my budgies ? Thank you so much.

Hi Elizza

Sprouts do not need to be boiled at all. If you do, they actually lose thier nutritional value, and won't continue to sprout at all.

Mung beans are easy to sprout! Soak them for 12 hours, drain and rinse them off, then watch them grow! Remember to keep rinsing them a couple of times a day to keep them moist and fresh.

Here is a link to the sprouting sticky, with a few different ways to sprout almost everything. (everyone has their own favourite way, so choose what works best for you)
