Default pellet diet (weird poop)

so my budgies have been converted to pellets fully for about 2 weeks. I am feeding them zupreem fruit pellets. their poop has changed colors which I read was normal but the urine ring around the poop is also yellow/orange tinged. the poops are softer than I'm used to and they stick more than the seed poops used to. are they just having a hard time with the conversion, are they sick, or is this normal. they are slowly trying new veggies but so far only really eat spinach and I haven't offered seed because I want them eating their pellets too but since its been 2 weeks I offered some seeds and they attacked it and fought over it as if they were either really loving it or starving... they eat a fair amount of pellets maybe a tablespoon between the two a day with some leaves of spinach or kale and millet as a treat.

What you are describing sounds normal to me.

However, a good quality seed mix should be a part of your budgies' healthy diet on a daily basis. You can sprout the seeds if you wish.

Deborah has given great advice and resources. My girl also eats ZuPreem pellets along with her seed and her droppings are just like you mentioned

Everything seems normal to me!

Thank you now I won't worry so much. I Do plan on giving seeds but because of recently converting them I didn't want them just eating the seed and not touching pellets

That's what I did when I converted Mallorn to eating pellets, too For about two weeks I only gave her pellets so she got used to eating them and then slowly I re-introduced seeds so that she now eats 1 tsp of seeds a day along with a constant source of pellets

if I see they are only eating seeds is it safe to stick it in the cage for an hour or two in the morning and then take it out?

Well, I that's why I limit her seed portion, so that after she finishes her seeds she can eat her pellets Generally, budgies should have 1-2 tsp. of seed each day in addition to a constant supply of pellets
