Default Millet spray stalk (may sound silly but I will ask)

Hi all
Jay has recently started enjoying chewing the stick on the end of the millet spray. I know then eat the seeds and bits but is he on to chew the stick or should I discourage this?

It's perfectly fine for your Jay to play/chew on the millet stalk, this brings no ill effects to him.

Thanks... I didn't think it would, especially as it's part of the millet. But just wanted to check

Smile millet

Our budgies love to turn the stems into bare skeletons and sometimes shred the stems to pieces, This keeps them mentally and physically focused. Enjoy!! Jo Ann
