Default Help me decide!

Hello. I am in a battle of what food to give my little ones. I am debating between Dr Harvey's best parakeet food or goldenfeast Australian blend. In your opinion which one do you think is better?

Either one will be a good choice.

I've deleted your duplicate thread asking this same question in the General Budgie Talk section of the forum.

I have no experience with either so can't advise you. Maybe check the reviews online and see what others say about them.

I agree with Deborah, both are very good brands and you can't go wrong with either of them

Personally I would lean towards whichever wasn't as expensive as the other

Do you think one is better than the other at all? If so which one

I don't think either one is "better".
They are both quality seed mixes.
Don't overthink it - just choose one and go for it.

I bought my very picky birdies the Dr. Harvey's seed mix (as recommended by Faerybee) and they love it.
What's cool about it is that you can actually sprout that mix because it's so fresh, and while they haven't eaten any veggies yet because they're scared of them, sprouts are great for birds. So that gets my vote.

Just get the smallest sizes and test it out first before you buy a pound of the stuff.

Default Suggestions?

Hello there. I am trying to get my little ones to eat broccoli. I have left only broccoli in their food bowl all day and they have not touched it. I read going cold turkey teaches them they can eat it. But I don't want them to starve. Any other suggestions?

You should never take away your budgies main food source for more than a few hours.

They need a good quality seed mix every day.

Hi there!

Deb has given you some great links. Under the Diet and Nutrition subforum, be sure to also read through the links concerning "How I Introduced Veggies to my Budgies".

If you have any questions after reading through all the links, be sure to ask!

Good luck with helping your little ones to eat veggies!
