Quite a few years. *facepalm* I wish I would have started him earlier but I didn't think to. However, I'm still trying. You should start your budgies on vegetables as early as you can.

I think the carrot juice is a good idea to try. Kind of hard to juice a carrot, but you only need a little. Also experiment with cutting smaller, larger, one large chunk piece, maybe hanging kabob style, etc. Sorry if you've already tried that, I didn't read the entire thread . My late Twigs who was a wild raised pet store budgie even took to veggies after a while. One day he just decided out of the blue to try it and found he liked it. Luckily all my birds took right to Harrison's pellets.
