Default Mineral Blocks in Australia?

Does anyone know of a good mineral block I can find in Australia? So far all the ones I have found only have calcium and iodine. I'm not too concerned since the pellets I feed have a bunch of minerals in them, but I would still like to give my birds the option if they need additional minerals. I've looked at the manu and bird banquet ones but can only find them online and it's expensive to get them shipped here.

They should be the only ones you would require. Remember you can overdose on Vitamins and Minerals and too much is just as dangerous as not enough. If you are feeding pellets they should have sufficient vitamins and minerals for your birds needs. The only supplement you may really need would be the iodine blocks. Our soils are particularly lacking in iodine and with budgies iodine is a necessary mineral. If they lack iodine they can get a condition called Goitre, which is a swelling of the glands in the neck. Check to see if your pellets contain iodine, if they do you may not even need the iodine block.

awesome thanks, my pellets do have iodine in them, the mineral block I have is calcium and charcoal but I will go out and get a calicum and iodine one just in case.

The calcium and charcoal blocks are good too. Charcoal is a very useful thing, it helps keep the gut sweet. Charcoal is used for all types of animals and humans if they have been poisoned as it will absorb the remains of the poison. With humans they will pump the stomach and then give charcoal and with animals like dogs and cats they will give them an injection to make them bring up what is in their stomach and then use the charcoal. Charcoal is also used for humans with stomach ulcers. In the wild if birds have an upset stomach they will often go to a burnt out tree and eat the charcoal from that.
